Lovely Day with Noël Wells

2020 hasn't been an excellent year, but ironically, it has inspired Noël Wells to want to cover Bill Wither's "Lovely Day".

So David met up with her and James Jones at Twin Creek Studios, where David produced Noël's vision for what a 2020 version of the iconic hit should be.  The rest is history.  Well, the single made Rolling Stone, Broadway World, and San Antonio Current which is historic enough for anybody.

The Cemetarian EP

Without a single stitch of publicity, Jones has dropped his latest EP, "The Cemetarian":

The consensus is it's positively stunning - Check it out on Spotify.

Played for Keeps Played

David has long had an association with Noël Wells; with Watch Out For RocketsFritzl Babies, and even Mr. Roosevelt.  So it's a natural that he took part in producing her soon-to-be-released LP "It's So Nice" - He and James Jones of Twin Creek Studios recorded and produced her latest single, "Played for Keeps", and when the music video emerged, the whole thing made Broadway World news.  Check out the happenings here.  Then take in the music vid:

New LP!

Life happens.  And it happened.  But, kinda like a kidney stone, it passed.

In the meantime, the music kept coming out - Jones just doesn't stop that. Recording snatches here and there, he kept noodling songs into existence.  Snippets turned into tracks.

Now it's an entire LP's worth of tracks, worthy of following up the critical darling that was Comfort Creatures.

What if it was a real album?

It was packaged up and sent for mastering.  A track list was formed.

A title came out:

Occult Years

Now he's putting together the cover.

It's a real thing then, no more what ifs - Coming soon, we're hoping September 2018.  Just in time for school.

Check out the pre-release track, "in springtime", here an on Soundcloud.
